Fayetteville Police Department Supports Project Lifesaver Ride


            The Fayetteville Police Department is pleased to be participating in North Carolina’s “Project Lifesaver”, a memorial motorcycle ride to honor officers who have fallen in the line of duty.


On 05/11/2010, riders are scheduled to arrive at the front of the Cumberland County Courthouse on Dick Street at approximately 5:10 p.m.  Police Chief Tom Bergamine and Sheriff Earl “Moose” Butler will greet the team of riders and send them off to their next destination. The riders will stop in each of North Carolina’s 100 counties for a flag viewing ceremony. 


The ride is designed to raise community awareness of the sacrifices that law enforcement officer and their families make in serving and protecting the citizens of this great state. For additional information you may go to the website at
